Fotograbados Longo expands flexo offering with FLEXCEL NX System, PureFlexo™ Printing, and Shine LED Lamp Kit from Miraclon

Fotograbados Longo has expanded its flexo prepress offering with FLEXCEL NX Technology from Miraclon, with a FLEXCEL NX Wide 4260 System and PureFlexo Printing now up and running at its production facility in Avellaneda, Buenos Aires. The investment was coupled with a Shine LED Lamp Kit, Innovated by Miraclon, which enabled the renowned Argentinian trade shop to refurbish an older fluorescent exposure unit and put it back into production.

“The fundamental pillars of our philosophy are constant innovation and a commitment to quality,” says Sebastian Longo, Owner and Managing Director.

“We have kept a close eye on the technology developments from Miraclon in recent years. The combination of FLEXCEL NX Technology, the added print production benefits delivered with multi-form patterning such as PureFlexo Printing, and the ability to maximize these benefits with LED plate exposure, meant we could not deny that now was the right time to invest. What’s more, is that the Shine LED Lamp Kit offered us a cost-effective path to expand our LED exposure capabilities and even bring a decommissioned fluorescent exposure unit back into production!”

He added that being on the judging panel for the Global Flexo Innovation Awards in 2021, sponsored by Miraclon, also contributed to the investment decision: “Seeing up close the various benefits that both trade shops and printers were experiencing with FLEXCEL NX Technology across a wide variety of applications convinced me that it’s something we must be able to offer our own customers.
